To you and all who supported me! Those who donated money, time, effort, prayers, contributions of any kind and all the words of encouragement offered during this year’s elections! I want to say God bless you and all of yours for your

hard work! In this election for Sheriff of Nelson County, there were times of happiness, frustration, concern, joy and many other emotions along the way. But my family and I were able to overcome the bad times and enjoy the wonderful times because of you! We are strong people but we became even stronger because of all your support. Although the outcome was certainly not what either I or any of you hoped for, you should all be as proud as I am for the tremendous leap forward that our concerns and values have made in this county. I have seen, over the last several years, the demographics change in this county as they relate to politics and though I consider myself “still” a highly conservative independent, I was and am proud to have represented the Republican party as your candidate for Sheriff! A lot of work still needs to be done to overcome some Democratic strong holds here but let this election be a sign to all, that it can and will be done if all the good work continues! I look at my election, not as a defeat, but as a victory for the future here in Nelson County! To all of you, from my family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
